Community Rights Walk

This walk will focus on our rights as a community and the opportunities that exist for us when we act in community. A safer community means a better quality of life for all of us. It also means better property prices and increased opportunities for the unemployed. Safety is valuable.

About the Event

#FunkItImWalking creates safe walking spaces. This time we walk from #June16Memorial all the way to #EyethuLifestyle supporting local businesses along the way. While we do not charge for the walk, you are encouraged to come with disposable income to support local business. We also provide a play area for children along the way, so feel free to bring the family. The safe walking space will be active from 18:00 - 22:00. You can also join the actual group walk at 20:00. On this walk we do not stop at any one lovcation longer than 10 minutes, so it's only enough time to buy something, its not enough time to stay and have dinner.

The Community Rights walk will focus on how its important to understand our rights as a community in the context of human rights and how working together to protect such rights is of value to us all.

There will be different businesses and activities along the path that you can enjoy. Come at 18:00, it will feel like its too soon when its time to go at 22:00.
